This is a small list of the greatest JDM cars that you probably know or should know! Without further due let’s get started with this list!

Number 1: Nissan Skyline GT-R

This car is quite popular and known by most people even if you’re not a person who knows a lot about cars. As it was seen in many racing shows or movies and almost any game in the racing genre. It made many appearances in the F&F movies( Fast and Furious), the racing anime and manga Initial d and many more. Not only did the GT-R show up in movies or films this car also showed up in popular racing titles like the Forza Horizon games, NFS(Need For Speed) and others. The AWD(all-wheel drive) Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V Spec II on the right can produce 276 HP with a power of 6800 rpm. It can reach 1 to 60 mp/h in 5.2 seconds and 1 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Number 2: Mazda RX7

The Mazda RX7 is another one of those popular cars. As it made appearances in many movies, shows and video games. But the main difference that set the RX7 apart from different cars is that had a rotary engine instead of a piston engine. It produces more power per litre. Which meant better performance. Unlike the Skyline the RX7 is RWD (rear-wheel drive). Sadly due to emission problems Mazda stopped making the Mazda RX7 in 2002.

Number 3: Toyota Supra

The Toyota Supra is probably the most overrated of this whole list. This car made appearances and is as popular and loved as the GT-R. But one of the most famous appearances was in the first movie of Fast and Furious. Which Paul Walker drove. The RWD (rear-wheel drive) coupe can produce 321 horsepower. It can reach 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds with the help of turbochargers. New models of the supra called the Toyota Supra A91 continue the Supra’s legacy.

Number 4: Mitsubishi Lancer EVO

The Mitsubishi Lancer evolution or the EVO is another AWD legend. This sedan is perfect for rally racing. Because it had more stable turns. The EVO won many rally races. Not only that but the EVO is really popular for drag races thanks to its strength and ability to be modded. The EVO IX produces 286 hp and can reach 0 to 60 mph in 5.6 seconds. This car was discontinued because Mitsubishi decided that it did not make financial sense There is a rumour about an electric EVO but it probably won’t happen very soon.

Number 5: Toyota AE86 (Trueno)
You might ask why is the AE86 on this list and why are people talking about this ordinary car. Well mostly because of the motorsport drifting and initial D. This car had a not-so-perfect engine but people admired the car for its weight and impressive handling. The Toyota AE86 had only 128 hp?? And can reach 0 – 60 mph in 8.5 seconds. Yeah, 8.5 seconds. This car was remade and called the Toyota GR86/Scion FRS/ Subaru BRZ.
